About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Prioritisation Specialist to join our team as a PTL Recovery Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, driving improvement in elective recovery and clinical prioritisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of robust audit programmes for elective care, ensuring accurate data capture and adherence to national rules and standards.
  • Manage a skilled team with specialist RTT knowledge to support RTT performance delivery, ensuring the Trust meets national access targets and related objectives.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to drive software implementation that supports elective access delivery, including scheduling, data quality, and demand and capacity analysis.
  • Develop and implement reports and processes to support the management of elective performance, ensuring compliance with national policies.
  • Support the Performance Team in preparing comprehensive elective performance reports to the Trust Board and appropriate Sub-committees.
  • Represent the Trust at contract, planning, and performance review meetings, as required.
Person Specification
  • Educated to a Master's degree or equivalent relevant postgraduate professional qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
  • Detailed and expert knowledge of NHS elective access standards and all related national rule sets.
  • Strong knowledge of NHS trust performance management frameworks and methodologies for reporting performance.
  • Significant experience in operational management roles within the NHS, with a proven track record of delivering objectives.
