High Intensity CBT Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our team at Lewisham NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality CBT assessment and treatment to adults experiencing depression and anxiety disorders.

As a High Intensity CBT Therapist, you will work closely with our team to deliver evidence-based CBT interventions, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each client. You will also have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff members, helping to develop their skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide CBT assessment and treatment to adults experiencing depression and anxiety disorders.
  2. Deliver evidence-based CBT interventions, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
  3. Provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff members.
  4. Work closely with the team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  5. Participate in business and professional meetings within the IAPT service.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology with HCPC registration and CBT accreditation.
  • Postgraduate level qualification in at least one additional IAPT-relevant psychological therapy modality.
  • Experience of working as a psychological therapist using CBT to treat common mental health problems in adults.
  • Ability to meet agreed service targets and manage own caseload and time.
