Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a qualified Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a suspected SEND pupil in Reception (FS2) at a primary school in Sheffield.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting children and young people with additional learning needs and be comfortable working in a fast-paced educational environment.

This is a full-time role, working Monday-Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm, with a competitive salary of £18,720 per annum, plus 7% holiday pay. In addition to the salary, the successful candidate will receive access to ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children and young people with additional learning needs such as non-verbal Autism on a 1-1 basis.
  • A recognised teaching assistant qualification such as Level 2, Level 3 or a degree in education or transferable skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and other members of support staff.
