Job Title: Commercial Lead

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to join our team at Futures Manufacturing. As a Commercial Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the procurement and supplier management strategies for our high-profile organisation.

About the Role:

The Commercial Lead will oversee a dynamic team responsible for the end-to-end commercial lifecycle of IT contracts. You will be responsible for ensuring effective supplier management, strategic procurement, and the realisation of value for money across multi-million-pound contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the Commercial Management team to deliver exceptional IT and digital solutions.
  • Overseeing contract negotiations, variations, and supplier performance to meet organisational goals.
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies, ensuring legal compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers, focusing on continuous improvement and risk management.
  • Evaluating contract performance, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals.
Requirements:
  • A background in commercial management, procurement, and supplier management.
  • Experience managing high-value contracts (over £10m) and a multi-supplier environment.
  • Proven leadership skills, including managing teams and overseeing performance.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management experience at senior levels.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; CIPS/IACCM qualifications desirable.
