Job Title: Senior Commercial Manager

Job Summary:

The Government Commercial Function is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Manager to lead the category development and contract management activities of the next generation of Prisoner Education contracts. This is a key role in the Rehabilitation in Custody division, delivering contracts to support the education, skills, and vocational training of prisoners in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team to develop and implement category strategies and plans for the Prisoner Education Services.
  • Work with Senior Business Owners and stakeholders to deliver commercial objectives and aspirations.
  • Contribute to the mobilisation and post-contract management of the Prisoner Education contracts.
  • Pilot new commercial options and create innovative education service delivery models.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve commercial goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial management and category development.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of commercial law and procurement processes.
