Senior Production Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Team Leader to join our production team at Redwood Publishing Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing a range of titles, including picture books, mono fiction, and novelty titles across the front and backlist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of your own list (pre-press, sales materials, manufacturing) of front list, co-edition, and reprint titles.
  • Ensure safety requirements for products are met.
  • Liaise with editorial and design teams to ensure workflows are followed accurately.
  • Support and manage junior members of the team.
  • Work with the rights team and co-edition customers to set up and handle co-edition printing.
  • Ensure all data is up to date.

This is a rare opportunity to work for a leading children's publisher across a range of fantastic titles and develop your skills and experience within children's book production.

The ideal candidate will have proven solid and varied experience of working within a book production department. You will have excellent negotiation, pre-press, print, and manufacturing experience, including 4-colour experience, and ideally safety testing knowledge/experience. The ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines is essential as you will be working across several projects at any given time.
