Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality CBT treatment to clients with common mental health disorders.
The successful candidate will have a Post Graduate Diploma in High Intensity IAPT Course or equivalent qualification, along with significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner. They will be able to demonstrate the competences required for this role and possess excellent communication skills.
About the Role
This is a fixed-term/permanent position, and the salary range is £30,000 - £50,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be part of a busy IAPT service providing a mixture of face-to-face and virtual appointments as part of their role.
Main Responsibilities
- Assessment and Treatment: Assess and deliver CBT treatment to clients with common mental health disorders.
- Service Development: Contribute towards service development and improvement.
- Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have a recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology, or a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or a psychological therapy - plus further postgraduate diploma qualification in CBT from a recognised or accredited training provider. They will also have demonstrable experience of working in mental health services, relevant experience in Primary Care settings treating anxiety and depression-related problems, and ability to meet agreed/specified activity and service targets.
