The role of a Print Quality Specialist at Recruitment Solutions Workforce Ltd involves ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the flexographic printing press. This is a permanent position with a Panama shift pattern, requiring a high standard of housekeeping around the press and accurate completion of production and quality records.

Job Description
As a Print Quality Specialist, your primary function will be to determine correct inks and printing plates according to job specifications. You will also be responsible for mounting printing plates onto correct sized cylinders and loading them into the press according to the correct colour sequence. Additionally, you will fill ink fonts with prescribed inks according to the correct colour sequence, move levers to engage ink rollers, and adjust the position of ink rollers to print one or more colours without defect. Your duties will also include loading plain reels as prescribed by job specifications and unloading printed reels, verifying the quality and accuracy of print, and running the press at optimum speed while controlling tensions and maintaining acceptable print quality. Furthermore, you will clean plates, cylinders, and ink fonts as necessary, especially at the end of a print run to avoid contamination of subsequent print runs. You will also mix inks to achieve desired colours, monitor and maintain the correct solvent/ink ratio to achieve optimum printability of inks, regularly check printed samples for colour consistency and print quality, and monitor print quality during the run to provide acceptable product without defects.
