Our client, a leading events company, is seeking a highly experienced Head of Operations to join their national events team. Based in Coventry, this is a full-time, permanent role with UK-wide travel required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing management and development of the operations team, evaluating and monitoring performance, and ensuring they receive feedback on their performance via monthly 1-2-1's. They will also lead all service lines, including event traffic management, security, and crowd management, and ensure all events have an operations pack including up-to-date risk assessments and traffic management plans.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in line management, with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring. They must be proficient in the use of MS applications, have a strong attention to detail, and be willing to work outside of their role to support the growth and success of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of all company equipment, stock, vehicles, and uniforms across the UK
  • Implementing strategies to ensure company growth and services development
  • Managing operations and retaining customers
  • Willingness to work outside of role to support growth and success of the business
  • Proficient in the use of MS applications
  • 5+ years' experience in line management

The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to motivate and develop a team to achieve business objectives. They will also have a strong understanding of the events industry and be able to develop and implement effective operations strategies.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • L4 Spectator Safety desirable
  • SIA DS license desirable
  • Lantra 12D M6 a must
