Location: Remote (Hybrid working - 2 days per week onsite)

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Job Summary

Crimson is seeking an experienced Head of IT Operations to lead and manage our IT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of all IT services, overseeing infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, application support, databases, and helpdesk/end-user services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the IT Operations function and contribute to executing the overall IT vision and strategy for Service Management functions.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at improving efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and support in line with our business goals.
  • Manage and supervise internal and partner IT support functions, overseeing incident and problem management across various IT environments.
  • Administer applications, databases, networks, and both on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Serve as the escalation and coordination point for our third-party outsource and partner support teams.
  • Play a key role in redesigning the clients Azure infrastructure, driving the adoption of Microsoft's well-architected framework through the introduction of a landing zone structure.
  • Oversee and manage IT operational expenditure.
  • Contribute significantly to our continuous improvement strategy by providing recommendations and suggestions to the business.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in an IT Service Operations environment that relies on a hybrid support model (in-source/out-source) within a similar business sector or organization of comparable size.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages across all levels of the business.
  • Proven experience in using monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Experience managing disaster recovery plans and tests.
  • Deep understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and networks.
