Supporting Learning and Development Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a friendly secondary school in Portsmouth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguarding and Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of students, prioritizing their needs and providing a supportive environment.
- Learning Support: Assist students with learning tasks, providing individualized support to help them achieve their personalized Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
- Emotional Wellbeing and Communication: Support students in developing their emotional wellbeing and communication skills, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaboration with Teachers: Work under the guidance of teachers, supporting small groups of students and contributing to lesson planning and delivery.
- Right to Work in the UK: Ensure you have the necessary documentation to work in the UK.
- Up-to-Date CV and References: Provide a current CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
- DBS Registration: Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
