About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a friendly secondary school in Portsmouth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with complex learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning tasks under the guidance of a teacher
  • Assist in achieving personalized Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets
  • Support students' emotional wellbeing and communication skills
  • Work with students aged 11-16 years

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
