Facilities Supervisor

About the Role
The Facilities Supervisor is a key member of the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust Estates and Facilities team. This role supports the Facilities Co-ordinator in delivering high-quality soft facilities services and is responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of local site services and facilities on a day-to-day basis.
Main Responsibilities
- Sourcing and ordering goods or services in line with best practice and procedure.
- Undertaking stock control, monitoring progress of orders, dealing with discrepancies, and maintaining records of all purchases to ensure that invoices can be reconciled.
- Producing food and cleaning consumable orders to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Raising requisitions (using Saffron), receiving and signing for deliveries, and processing invoices.
- Leading and guiding the Facilities staff, often supervising multiple roles, and promoting an environment of operational excellence.
- Ensuring staff adhere to the Trust colour coding system to prevent cross-infection.
- Ensuring staff preparing meals for and regeneration of patient meals at ward level adhere to Trust Food Safety Management policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintaining equipment and materials in a clean and good state of repair, reporting defects immediately using agreed systems, and ensuring they are available for use in the quickest time possible.
