The College of Optometrists is seeking individuals who share a passion for eye health to contribute to their work and activities.
The College is the professional body for optometry, qualifying the profession and delivering guidance and development to ensure optometrists provide the best possible care.
We promote excellence through our affiliations, building the evidence base for optometry, and raising awareness of the profession with stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and the public.
As a member of the Lay Advisory Panel, you will play a crucial role in committees, working groups, and Council by providing an alternative viewpoint and specialist advice.
No clinical knowledge is required, and we particularly welcome volunteers with backgrounds in senior financial management, commercial business, fundraising, or academia/research development related to healthcare.
We also welcome experience in marketing, membership, IT/project management, or professional development.
These voluntary positions offer reimbursement for reasonable expenses, and the initial term is three years.
