Engineering Tutor at HMP Five Wells

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Tutor to join our team at HMP Five Wells. As an Engineering Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality level 1 Engineering courses to groups of up to 15 learners, developing their vocational skills and providing hands-on experience in a bespoke workshop.
You will work closely with our dedicated team of professionals to ensure that our learners receive the best possible education and support. Your passion and understanding in your approach will help our learners to secure future employment opportunities post-release.

About HMP Five WellsHMP Five Wells is a £253m facility in Wellingborough, accommodating 1,680 residents. We are committed to making Five Wells a better place to live, work, and visit by engaging with and empowering staff, prisoners' agencies, and leaders.
We provide residents with access to a gym, snooker table, table tennis table, and a tablet to gain new qualifications.
Requirements- A full teaching qualification and experience teaching engineering courses required.
- At least 2 years of experience in the relevant vocational area.
- Commitment to gain a subject-specific qualification to allow you to train to level 3 within 2 years.
- Commitment to gain an assessor award required by relevant awarding bodies within one year.
- Hold at least a Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
