Are you passionate about uncovering the secrets of the past? As an Archaeological Investigation Specialist at Oxfordshire City Council, you will have the opportunity to contribute to exciting archaeological projects in the field.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Field Archaeologist. The successful candidate will assist in excavating, recording, and interpreting archaeological features, collecting artefacts and environmental samples, and processing finds and survey data.
What You'll DoThe ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in archaeological investigations and excavations
- Recording and interpreting archaeological features and artefacts
- Collecting and processing environmental samples
- Collaborating with the project team to ensure high-quality results
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in archaeology or a related field
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for cultural heritage preservation
We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including:
