Air Mechanical Technician Job

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Air Mechanical Technician to join our Technical Services team at Kuehne+Nagel in Donnington, Shropshire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the top-notch condition of mechanical aviation equipment, sub-assemblies, and components stored by Logistic Services.

This includes:

  • Preventive maintenance, investigations, and examinations of mechanical aviation equipment
  • Carrying out examination, minor repair, and adjustments to a range of Mechanical aviation components, associated sub-assemblies, and component parts
  • Meeting agreed targets and objectives for Tech Services in accordance with KN/TS/LCS business plan
  • Maintaining International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001 Quality Standards throughout the organisation
  • Ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental standards are applied at all times
  • Relaying customer requirements to the appropriate authority
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ONC/HNC in Engineering or relevant trade training experience and knowledge within the aircraft industry
  • Working knowledge of Military aircraft aviation equipment and processes in accordance with approved data and regulations
  • Good organisational and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word, Outlook
  • A working knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations, best practice, and current Air Publication
