Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in ensuring compliance, driving excellence and supporting safety initiatives across all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment pillars.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the main site in Telford with flexibility to travel to other key sites as required;
- Providing specialist advice to management and operations on compliance with legislation, policy and contractual requirements affecting the storage and transport of hazardous substances, articles, and radiological protection;
- Completing the Internal Audit Process satisfying the requirements of the Dangerous Goods Requirements and KN Global process;
- Providing ongoing support to the operational team to improve standards of Dangerous Goods and Radiation regulations and achieve defined levels of compliance;
- Supporting the wider QSHE Team in ensuring adherence to Legislation, Policy and Contractual requirements to QSHE policies and process through audit and QSHE tour processes;
- Supporting QSHE communications by being actively involved in the development and delivery of QSHE specific communications;
- Reporting performance against targets to the QSHE Management Team;
Requirements:
- Essential skills include Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA), Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Sea (IMDG) and IOSH Managing Safety;
- Audit experience is also essential, preferably with ISO Standards 9001; 14001 & 45001, and willingness to qualify as Lead Auditor;
- Desirable skills include ADR 1.8.3 DGSA Certificate, RID 1.8.3 DGSA Certificate, Dangerous Goods Storage and Segregation, Carriage of Lithium Batteries by Air, Road & Sea, Radiation Safety Officer and Class 7 Radioactive Excepted Packages Consignor Awareness;
- Good communication and presentation skills, knowledge of Word and Excel, numeracy/data rationality and analytical/report writing/forward planning skills;
