HSE Specialist

This role requires an experienced HSE Specialist to manage the day-to-day activities relating to the Health and Safety management systems, as well as Environmental management, with the majority focus on Health and Safety.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Health and Safety roles within the manufacturing sector, with experience in managing environmental systems and carrying out Risk assessments and COSHH Assessments.

Key responsibilities include advising and providing guidance across the business on health, safety and environmental matters, investigations for any accidents or near-misses, and ensuring all site metrics and quality measures are updated accordingly.

The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, implementing and maintaining the company HSE processes and systems, ensuring that any changes in legislation are actioned and procedures are amended accordingly.

They will also be responsible for conducting health, safety and environmental inspections and reports as required, monitoring and controlling all contractor and sub-contractor activity within the facility, and managing relevant HSE systems documentation.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious and driven, with a full UK driving licence as they may need to visit other sites.

Previous experience in roles such as H&S Officer / H&S Advisor / SHE Coordinator / HSE Officer / EHS Advisor is essential.
