Aerospace Maintenance Specialist

At Kuehne+Nagel, we are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Maintenance Specialist to join our Technical Services (TS) team in Telford.
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
About the role:
We require an individual with strong technical knowledge and skills to ensure the top-notch condition of mechanical aviation equipment, sub-assemblies, and components stored by Logistic Services. This includes carrying out preventive maintenance, investigations, and examinations in accordance with relevant approved data, Tech Services Procedures, and Work-Based Instructions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out examination, minor repair, and adjustments to a range of Mechanical aviation components, associated sub-assemblies, and component parts.
- Meeting agreed targets and objectives for Tech Services in accordance with KN/TS/LCS business plan to support and sustain our Armed Forces.
- Maintaining International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001 Quality Standards throughout the organisation.
- Ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are applied at all times.
- Relaying customer requirements to the appropriate authority.
- Working to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards;
- Recording, analysing, and interpreting data appertaining to the work being undertaken.
- Proposing modifications and retesting products.
- Certifying the final product or system for Authorised release of component.
- Preparing product documentation and writing reports.
Requirements:
- ONC/HNC in Engineering or relevant trade training experience and knowledge within the aircraft industry.
- Working knowledge of Military aircraft aviation equipment and processes in accordance with approved data and regulations.
- Good organisational and communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Computer literate in Excel, Word, Outlook.
- A working knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations, best practice, and current Air Publication.
- Knowledge of occurrence reporting.
