At Kuehne+Nagel, we are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Maintenance Specialist to join our Technical Services (TS) team in Telford.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.

About the role:

We require an individual with strong technical knowledge and skills to ensure the top-notch condition of mechanical aviation equipment, sub-assemblies, and components stored by Logistic Services. This includes carrying out preventive maintenance, investigations, and examinations in accordance with relevant approved data, Tech Services Procedures, and Work-Based Instructions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out examination, minor repair, and adjustments to a range of Mechanical aviation components, associated sub-assemblies, and component parts.
  • Meeting agreed targets and objectives for Tech Services in accordance with KN/TS/LCS business plan to support and sustain our Armed Forces.
  • Maintaining International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001 Quality Standards throughout the organisation.
  • Ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are applied at all times.
  • Relaying customer requirements to the appropriate authority.
  • Working to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards;
  • Recording, analysing, and interpreting data appertaining to the work being undertaken.
  • Proposing modifications and retesting products.
  • Certifying the final product or system for Authorised release of component.
  • Preparing product documentation and writing reports.

Requirements:

  • ONC/HNC in Engineering or relevant trade training experience and knowledge within the aircraft industry.
  • Working knowledge of Military aircraft aviation equipment and processes in accordance with approved data and regulations.
  • Good organisational and communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • A working knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations, best practice, and current Air Publication.
  • Knowledge of occurrence reporting.
