Job Title: Associate Planning Director

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Associate Planning Director to join their dynamic team in York. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and success.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-profile projects across the private sector, from land promotion to city centre regeneration. You will work closely with urban designers, planning professionals, and support teams to deliver seamless project delivery and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on high-profile projects, developing and implementing strategies to achieve client goals.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
  • Generate new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients and identifying new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with architects, planners, and designers across offices, outsourcing when necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Drive the long-term development of the business, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing strategies to achieve them.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior planning role, ideally with private sector experience.
  • Planning degree or masters.
  • MRTPI status.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage projects and generate new business.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Passionate and ambitious, with a desire to grow with the company.
