Planning Director
**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Director to join our client's team. As a key member of the planning team, you will be responsible for building and motivating the team, developing and managing their performance, and driving business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead and grow a planning team within a planning consultancy environment
* Develop and implement strategic planning research and policy development
* Project manage a mix of planning submissions and appeals
* Perform site inspections and assess the merits of proposals
* Provide guidance to engineers and architects on the production of drawings and supplemental planning information
* Take responsibility for the strategic management input of planning projects, including financial management
**Requirements**
* Chartered membership of The Royal Town Planning Institute or The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
* At least 7 years' proven planning experience of large-scale planning projects across a range of sectors within the private sector
* At least 5 years' experience of leading and growing a planning team within a planning consultancy environment
* A track record of sustainable business generation and client base growth
