**About the Role**
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a Multidiscipline Planning and Environmental Consultancy in their search for a Planning Director to join their team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Building and motivating a planning team to achieve high performance
* Developing and managing the performance of the planning team
* Building existing client relationships and generating new business opportunities
* Project managing a mix of planning submissions and appeals
* Conducting strategic planning research and policy development, including assessments of development potential
* Making site inspections and assessing the merits of proposals
* Providing guidance to engineers and architects on the production of drawings and supplemental planning information
* Taking responsibility for the strategic management input of planning projects, including financial management
* Expanding networks and creating relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities
**Requirements**
* Chartered membership of The Royal Town Planning Institute or The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
* At least 7 years' proven planning experience of large-scale planning projects across a range of sectors in the private sector
* At least 5 years' experience of leading and growing a planning team within a planning consultancy environment
* A track record of sustainable business generation and client base growth
