Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a Multidiscipline Planning and Environmental Consultancy who are looking for a Planning Director to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:- Building and leading a high-performing planning team, motivating and developing their performance.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, generating new business opportunities.
- Managing client expectations, ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Project managing a mix of planning submissions and appeals, preparing tender responses.
- Conducting strategic planning research and policy development, assessing development potential.
- Providing guidance to engineers and architects on drawing production and supplemental planning information.
- Leading the strategic management of planning projects, including financial management.
- Expanding networks, creating relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities.
- Mentoring team members through RTPI development processes and procedures.
- Managing and growing the fee pipeline.
- Chartered membership of The Royal Town Planning Institute or The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- At least 7 years' experience in large-scale planning projects across various sectors in the private sector.
- At least 5 years' experience leading and growing a planning team in a consultancy environment.
- A proven track record of sustainable business generation and client base growth.
- Seasoned leadership experience, directing and developing a team.
