About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety and Sustainability Lead to join our team at Whitman Laboratories, a leading manufacturer of prestige beauty products. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership, expertise, and support in facility EHS matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Strategies: Develop and implement site EHS strategies in line with global policies, ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage EHS Risks: Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks, ensuring a safe working environment for employees and minimizing the impact on the environment.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, guidelines, and industry standards, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership and management skills to engage employees in interdependent safety culture, manage teams effectively, and provide guidance and support.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with employees, management, and regulatory agencies, building positive relationships and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Investigations and Reporting: Conduct investigations of accidents and incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and report accidents when required (RIDDOR), maintaining all accident records.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain all records, both paper and electronic, and undertake monthly reporting on key EHS metrics as required at both site and corporate levels.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified to IOSH / NEBOSH level 6 diploma or similar qualification, CMIOSH or working towards with Initial Professional Development (IPD).
  • Experience: Experienced in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, EHS regulations, and risk management, with a deep understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, effective communication and stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
