Environmental Health and Safety Lead

The Estée Lauder Companies is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead to join our team at Whitman Laboratories. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in facility EHS matters, developing and implementing site EHS strategies, and ensuring compliance with EHS policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a deep understanding of EHS regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement site EHS strategies in line with global policies, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continual improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate independent safety culture, promoting EHS policies, procedures, and operational practices.
  • Manage site risk management strategies, ensure compliance with environmental permits, and maintain EHS budget and CAPEX.
  • Provide strong leadership skills to engage employees towards an interdependent safety culture, manage teams effectively, and provide guidance and support.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and regulatory agencies, and build positive relationships with employees, management, internal, and external agencies.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified to IOSH/NEBOSH level 6 diploma or similar qualification.
  • CMIOSH or working towards with Initial Professional Development (IPD).
  • Experienced in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Deep understanding of EHS regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of risk management and developing risk management strategies.
  • Understanding of cosmetic or similar manufacturing process/risk.
