The Estée Lauder Companies is currently seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety and Sustainability Lead to join our team at Whitman Laboratories. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of relevant EHS regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement site EHS strategy in line with global policies, developing and tracking of KPIs to drive continual improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate independent safety culture driving continuous improvement by promoting EHS policies, procedures, and operational practices.
  • Provide advice and assistance within your sphere of competence.
  • Maintain site risk management strategies and ensure compliance of environmental permits.
  • Use analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and patterns.
  • Lead or support multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to successful completion.
  • Maintain EHS budget and CAPEX.
  • Provide strong leadership skills to engage employees towards an interdependent safety culture, manage teams effectively, and provide guidance and support.
  • Use effective communication skills to communicate effectively with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of people and build positive relationships with employees, management, internal, and external agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to IOSH/NEBOSH level 6 diploma or similar qualification.
  • CMIOSH or working towards with Initial Professional Development (IPD).
  • Experienced in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Deep understanding of EHS regulations and guidelines needed to ensure compliance.
  • Understanding of developing site strategy in line with global policies, developing and tracking of KPIs to drive continual improvement.
  • Knowledge of risk management and develop risk management strategies.
  • Understanding of cosmetic or similar manufacturing process/risk – plant and equipment, chemicals, DSEAR, COMAH, environmental permits.
  • Good analytical skills required to assess data, identify trends, and patterns.
  • Project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to successful completion.
  • Manage EHS budget and CAPEX.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead teams to improve safety culture, manage teams effectively, provide guidance, and support.
  • Communication skills to communicate effectively with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of safety culture program.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of key stakeholders and build positive relationships with employees, management, internal, and external agencies.
