About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Buying Assistant to join our successful Buying team at Footasylum. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Buyer in the procurement of products for our stores and websites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run weekly reports to provide a trade update to specific stakeholders within the company.
  • Liaise with brands regularly to support the Buyer through the buying period.
  • Review sales and discuss the performance of the category.
  • Create look books and documents for other departments in the business.
  • Manage travel for various people in the department for brand trips, store visits, and consumer research trips.
  • Research key looks, brands, and discuss potential upcoming styles and trends.
  • Carry out competitor analysis.
  • Communicate with various departments across the business to ensure you are the key point of contact.
  • Sample ordering key lines and communicate with marketing to ensure Footasylum brings to market the best product required.
  • Run reports for brand meetings and retail events.
  • Review sales and have discussions around how Footasylum can trade the file in the most efficient and commercial way.
  • Support the Buyer and wider buying team with ad-hoc duties as and when required.
  • Collate key data as directed for meetings.
  • Create Visual Line Plans for order sign off.
  • Support the Buyer in planning and building ranges.
  • Maintain regular contact with global brands and account managers to obtain/provide information about products in the category.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc administrative duties.
About You

We are looking for a driven, ambitious, and motivated individual who is passionate about product and has a good understanding of key market trends. You will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with global brands and account managers to obtain/provide information about products in the category.

Organisational skills are a must, and we always love to see people with a methodical approach to tasks. You will be responsible for creating look books and documents for other departments in the business and managing travel for various people in the department for brand trips, store visits, and consumer research trips.
