Deputy Director of English

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English educator to join our team as Deputy Director of English. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement high-quality English curriculum and teaching strategies to ensure academic excellence.
- Lead and manage a team of English teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to English education.
- Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Have a minimum of one year's teaching experience.
- Proven success in raising achievement and improving student outcomes.
- Strong ICT skills and experience of using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience of innovative curriculum development and implementation.
- Good understanding of creative whole-school strategies for improving literacy and numeracy.
- Experience of embedding innovative strategies for Assessment for Learning and Learning to Learn.
