Director of English Operations

Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of English to join our team.
About the RoleThe Deputy Director of English will be responsible for the operational supervision of the team of residential support workers within the residential home for children. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring that the day-to-day running of the service is delivered in a manner which results in continuous improvement in the service.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Supervision: The Deputy Director of English will be responsible for the operational supervision of the team of residential support workers within the residential home for children.
- Continuous Improvement: The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring that the day-to-day running of the service is delivered in a manner which results in continuous improvement in the service.
- Communication and Relationships: The Deputy Director of English will be responsible for communicating and maintaining positive relationships with the children/young people, their families, social workers, and other professionals on a day-to-day basis.
- Workplace Supervision: The successful candidate will provide workplace supervision and guidance for support workers and ensuring that they work safely and in a manner that meets the standards that are required of a Social Care Worker within the Social Care Wales Code of Conduct.
- Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the QCF Level 3 in leadership children and young people or equivalent NVQ in order to register with Social Care Wales as a children's residential worker.
- Experience: The Deputy Director of English will have at least 5 years' experience and knowledge of working with children/young people, including those with complex needs and behaviour that challenges.
- Language Skills: The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for 1 post and essential for 1 post.
