About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of our English curriculum across all college campuses. As Deputy Group Director English, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our English provision and ensuring that our learners achieve excellent outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of Foundation English across all sites, serving over 4000 learners.
  • Manage senior curriculum managers in alignment with English and College ethos and priorities.
  • Oversee all Foundation English courses, including GCSE English and relevant stepping stone qualifications, as well as Functional Skills for apprentices.
  • Drive the NCC whole-college approach to resits by collaborating with colleagues across the NCC matrix.
  • Maintain and improve teaching, learning, and assessment standards, and ensure a high-quality learner experience.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in delivering high-quality education to young people and adults.
  • Ability to manage staff performance and coach individuals to reach their full potential.
  • Teacher-trained with management and teaching experience, and a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Desirable experience of apprenticeships.
