Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Apprentice to join our Finance team in Cambridge. As an Accounts Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our global in-house Finance function.

You will work closely with various colleagues in the team, contributing to the processing of sales and purchase ledger tasks, including preparing and sending invoices, liaising with clients, and processing supplier invoices. You will also assist with the administration of petty cash, enter transactions into our financial software, and provide ad-hoc financial administrative support to the wider company as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in in-house finance, while working towards the Level 3 AAT qualification. You will receive on-the-job training and support from experienced members of our Finance team, as well as dedicated tutor support.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with sales ledger tasks, including preparing and sending invoices, as well as liaising with clients regarding their payments
  • Supporting with purchase ledger tasks, such as processing supplier invoices and responding to payment enquiries
  • Assisting with the processing of internal and recharged expenses
  • Entering transactions into our financial software
  • Administering petty cash across multiple currencies held by the company
  • Providing ad-hoc financial administrative support to the wider company as needed
About the Role

As a member of our Finance team, you will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our global in-house Finance function. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in in-house finance, while working towards the Level 3 AAT qualification.

Our Finance team is responsible for the processing of sales and purchase ledger tasks, including preparing and sending invoices, liaising with clients, and processing supplier invoices. You will work closely with various colleagues in the team, contributing to the administration of petty cash, entering transactions into our financial software, and providing ad-hoc financial administrative support to the wider company as needed.

Requirements

We are seeking a proactive individual with excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. You will also have excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to communicate information clearly and concisely.

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • Grade 6 or higher in GCSE Maths and English. A-levels would also be an advantage
  • Excellent numerical skills

  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to communicate information clearly and concisely
