Job Title: Shift Mechanical Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, is recruiting a Shift Mechanical Engineer to join the team located in Cambridge.

Shift Patterns: 4 on, 4 off, 7am-7pm

Purpose of Job

To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to client Heating & Air-Conditioning Systems in accordance with agreed service levels, ensuring optimal system performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine maintenance on Heating & Air-conditioning plant to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
  2. Ensure Evaporative Cooling Systems and Domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
  3. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to other site plant as required.
  4. Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  5. Maintain comprehensive maintenance records in the form of 'Frontline' task sheets.
  6. Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  7. Ensure a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.

Person Specification

Training

  1. Formally trained in mechanical services maintenance.
  2. Basic skills on building management systems would be an advantage.
  3. Formal health and safety training (Desirable).
  4. Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities.
  5. Formally certified for Maintenance and Operation of Evaporative Cooling Systems (Desirable).
  6. Good written English skills.
