About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic service at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment, providing occupational therapy services to patients with a range of medical and surgical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Contribute to service development projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Supervise and support junior staff and students, promoting their professional development and growth.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Post-qualification experience in a physical setting, with a strong understanding of common medical and surgical conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience of leading and influencing others, including OT colleagues, and contributing to audit and service improvement initiatives.
