Support Officer

Lancaster City Council is seeking a highly motivated Resident Support Officer to join our team in supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. This role involves administering the Household Support Fund, signposting individuals to other support services, and providing updates on applications.
About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Customer Services Team to provide assistance to those in need. Your duties will include processing awards, supporting individuals to provide necessary documentation, and signposting them to relevant third-party organizations. You may also be required to work out in the community, providing help, advice, and support as needed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be self-motivated, organized, and proficient in working with technology and IT systems. A full current UK driving licence is desirable but not essential. You will be subject to a basic clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
