Clinical Psychologist Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a) or CBT Therapist (Band 7) to join our Richmond Integrated Recovery Hub (CMHT), initially on a 12-month fixed term basis with further opportunities possible subsequently.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist Specialist to contribute to the delivery of NICE recommended evidence-based psychological therapies for severe and enduring mental health conditions, including psychosis & bipolar affective disorder, enduring depression and anxiety disorders and complex PTSD.
The successful applicant will be committed to MDT working and to advancing trauma informed care across the trust. Main Responsibilities:- To provide specialist psychological assessments of clients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from various sources.
- To formulate and implement plans for the psychological treatment and/or management of clients' mental health problems.
- To contribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care.
- To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients.
- To act as care coordinator, where appropriate, taking responsibility for initiating planning and review of care plans.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment across various care settings.
- Experience of working with people who experience severe, complex, and long-term mental health problems.
- Demonstrate further specialist training/experience through clinical supervision.
- Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.
- Experience of the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts.
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology.
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS.
- Formal training in supervision of other psychologists.
- To be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
- Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Principal Clinical / Counselling Psychologist
£59,490 to £66,239 a year per annum inclusive of outer London HCAS.
