This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Lymphoedema Specialist Practitioner to join our team as a Clinical Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with lymphoedema, providing expert clinical care and leading a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of patients with lymphoedema, providing expert clinical care and developing treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practice guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
- Qualified RGN with current registration with NMC.
- Nursing Diploma or BSc (Hons) Community Health (DN).
- Relevant post-registration study at diploma/degree level and relevant CPD, e.g. Lymphoedema management, Manual Lymphatic drainage, massage therapies.
- Physical Assessment Skills.
- Nurse Prescriber V100 or V150.
- Mentorship Preceptorship or equivalent.
- Understanding of current legislation and its implications for this role, including performance indicators and targets.
- Understanding of both the Health and Social Care agenda.
- Holistic assessment, core clinical and clinical reasoning skills to proactively manage patient care.
- Effective leadership skills and ability to delegate tasks to appropriately trained staff.
- Ability to lead by example, both clinically and managerially, being consistent and fair to all staff in every aspect of work.
- Ability to build the team to a high-performance level, conducive to professional development and team cohesiveness.
- Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues and the ability to establish rapport with team, clients, and other agencies.
- IT literate with ability to use databases and other software packages and digital solutions with patients and in the operation of the service.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to produce well-written and timely clinical records and service reports.
- Ability to lead and participate in service and organisational change.
- Ability to work under pressure, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel to multiple sites; car driver or can cycle to work.
- Reliable, empathetic, approachable, understanding, non-judgmental and tolerant.
- Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards.
- Able to reflect and critically appraise own performance.
- Has a positive attitude to change and is prepared to work flexibly to meet the need of people and the service.
- Willingness to undertake training and competencies for additional clinical interventions to support service development.
- Willingness to learn and implement new ways of working, including using digital solutions with patients and in the operation of the service.
