About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Digital Skills Tutor to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a Digital Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality digital skills training to adults across the county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver digital skills training to adults, including basic digital classes up to level 3 ICDL and level 2 ITQ or lower level basic classes.
  • Use a variety of teaching materials and techniques to support learning, including e-learning technology and educational platforms.
  • Work with the curriculum team to develop and deliver learning opportunities that help learners use digital technologies in everyday life or for work.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to learners, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of the Adult Learning service and its strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • Nationally approved teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Recent experience of teaching digital skills, preferably to adults.
  • Level 2 maths, English, and level 2 ICT or equivalent skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to different centres around the county during the daytime or in the evening as required.
  • Ability to use relevant teaching materials and techniques to support learning.

We offer a competitive rate of £33.00 per hour, inclusive of planning, preparation, and CPD with annual incremental progression.
