About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Psychologist to lead our team in providing specialized psychological services for cancer and HIV care at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered psychological support for individuals affected by cancer and HIV. This will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing consultant-level guidance, and ensuring seamless integration of psychological care into our healthcare services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive psychological assessments and treatment plans for complex cases.
  • Providing expert consultation and guidance to other professionals, including medical staff, nurses, and allied health professionals.
  • Leading education and training initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of our team members.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices in clinical psychology and applying this expertise to drive service improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized institution.
  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • At least 6 years of experience as a qualified Clinical Psychologist, with 3 years at a highly specialist level.
  • Experience working within physical healthcare settings, particularly in oncology and HIV care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong track record of professional development and continuing education.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits, including a generous pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
