Advanced Clinical Pharmacist for Cancer Services

Job Opportunity in Cancer Services
We are seeking an exceptional clinical pharmacist to further advance their career in Cancer services at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of high-quality clinical pharmacy services for patients, influence senior managers and clinicians, and support the facilitation of Clinical Indicators and Performance (CIPs) within the Cancer Division.
The role involves deputising for the Team Leader, representing the team within the organisation, and working as an expert pharmacist for cancer services. The post holder will also be responsible for managing and implementing services to improve pharmaceutical care for patients and extending the boundaries of clinical practice.
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent, substantial post-registration experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, and experience in supporting directorate activity, including drug expenditure reporting, formulary management, and DTC applications.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services, including independent prescribing
- Deputise for the Team Leader and represent the team within the organisation and across interfaces
- Work as an expert pharmacist for cancer services, contributing to advanced decision-making
- Manage and implement services designed to improve pharmaceutical care for patients
- Support the facilitation of CIPs within the Cancer Division and participate in financial reporting and drug budgeting
- Progress service improvement initiatives through multi-disciplinary working to ensure safe and timely provision of services
