About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Lead Pharmacist for Cancer Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre pharmacist to further advance their career and develop leadership, clinical, and prescribing skills within Cancer services at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services, including independent prescribing
  • Deputise for the Team Leader and represent the team within the organisation and across interfaces
  • Work as an expert pharmacist for cancer services, contributing to advanced decision-making and service development
  • Manage and implement services designed to improve pharmaceutical care for patients and extend the boundaries of clinical practice
  • Identify and support the facilitation of Clinical Improvement Projects (CIPs) within the relevant directorate and participate in financial reporting and drug budget management
  • Progress service improvement initiatives through multi-disciplinary working to ensure safe and timely provision of pharmaceutical care
  • Participate in clinical audit, research, risk management, and clinical guideline development

Requirements
  • B. Pharm / M. Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy) or equivalent
  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in either Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent)
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
  • Registered as Independent Non-medical Prescriber
