About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead our medicines optimisation team in North Central London. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines across our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of projects related to medicines efficiency and pharmacy transformation, with a focus on the Provider System Efficiency Plan (SEP).
  • Support the Director, IPMO Programme Team, in managing the medicines SEP from idea to delivery, escalation, and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with the Director, IPMO Programme Team, and ICS Chief Pharmacist to lead pharmacy integration, as NCL establishes itself as an Integrated Care System.
  • Support the NCL Medicines Optimisation Board (and its subcommittees) in delivering its vision to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in NCL, through the best use of medicines and pharmacy.

Requirements
  • Registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.
  • Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) membership.
  • Project management skills.
  • Critical appraisal training and analytical skills.
  • National policy and commissioning awareness.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Higher degree (PhD or research MSc).
  • Quality improvement qualification Project management qualification, e.g. Agile or PRINCE2 Change management qualification.
