About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Pharmacist - Cancer Services Specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to further advance their career and develop leadership, clinical, and prescribing skills within Cancer services at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and timely provision of care. They will also be expected to contribute to the development of advanced decision-making and identify opportunities for service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services, including independent prescribing
  • Deputise for the Team Leader and represent the team within the organisation and across interfaces
  • Work as an expert pharmacist for cancer services, contributing to advanced decision-making
  • Manage and implement services designed to improve pharmaceutical care to patients
  • Identify and support the facilitation of Clinical Improvement Projects (CIPs) within the relevant directorate

Requirements

  • B. Pharm / M. Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy) or equivalent
  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in either Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent)
  • Registered as Independent Non-medical Prescriber
