Navigocare is a social enterprise that delivers mental health services to the community. Our team of professionals is committed to providing high-quality care to individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mental Health Therapist to join our clinical team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting people with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.

Your duties will include conducting patient-centred interviews, making decisions on the suitability of new referrals, and referring unsuitable clients to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support people with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Conduct patient-centred interviews to identify areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on the suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols.
  • Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Psychology or other health-related undergraduate degree, Post Graduate Psychological Wellbeing Practice, and experience of working with people who have suffered with a mental health problem.

You will also need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills, and use of clinical recording systems including system one.

In addition, you will need to be able to work within a team and foster good working relationships, and be able to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively.
