Housing Repairs Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Repairs Surveyor to join our team at Onward. As a Repairs Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering our housing repairs service to our customers across our properties, contributing to our overall neighbourhood improvement plans. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract.
This home-based role offers flexibility, with occasional office attendance and regular site visits to complete surveys and inspections. You will work closely with customers, contractors, and colleagues to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, within budget, and with minimal disruption. Your excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships will be essential in providing an excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting empty properties and ensuring they are brought up to a lettable standard
- Responding to customer enquiries and providing advice and assistance to help maintain their homes
- Managing contractors and overseeing the supervision of work in progress
- Monitoring spend against budgets and reporting any variances
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety, equal opportunities, and other statutory guidelines
