Job Description

This role involves managing the smooth flow of patients, telephone calls, and correspondence in our busy reception area. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring they receive a professional and friendly welcome.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Welcoming patients and other visitors to the practice, providing assistance and information as needed.
  2. Managing telephone calls efficiently, using our care navigation template to direct patients to the right clinician or service.
  3. Coordinating the flow of patients arriving at the reception desk, handling appointments, prescriptions, and queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A willingness to learn new skills, such as medical coding, insurance, and secretarial responsibilities.
  • Experience working on reception and proficiency in clerical systems and IT.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
