Zenoot Ltd is exclusively partnering a leading manufacturing group to manage their recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The company has won a number of significant long-term orders and have substantial growth plans, as a result, they have a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who has experience working in a machining environment.

The Role

This key appointment will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI), strategy development, business improvement, and the development of the engineering team.

  • Coordinate all aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Lead and develop the skills and capabilities of the manufacturing engineering team
  • Develop capable processes and standard work within manufacturing engineering and manufacturing operations
  • Partner with corporate engineering group and centre of excellence based in the EU to drive company-wide best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement plans and a lean methodology throughout the business
  • Ensure coordination with other departments to develop a unified approach for processing new products or improving existing products
  • Manage the engineering budget, develop capital investment plans for technology and expansion of existing capabilities
  • Optimise process capability
  • Development of best practice manufacturing processes
  • Coaching and mentoring the use of six sigma tools and techniques within the team
The Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Engineering)
  • Experience in a precision machining manufacturing environment
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and influencing skills with ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Proven track record of successful NPI
  • Aerospace experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
