About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team in Middlesbrough, UK. As a dedicated Fostering Retention Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster carers and improving the quality of foster care placements.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, developing and implementing strategies to improve retention, and working closely with other teams to monitor placement quality.

You will also be responsible for attending reviews, support groups, and multi-agency meetings, providing guidance and advocacy to foster carers, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Main Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Proven experience in fostering, adoption, or a similar area within children's services.
  • Skill Set: Strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
