Job Title: Connected Carers Social Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated social worker to join our team as a Connected Carers Social Worker. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with families and children in need of care, focusing on the assessment, approval, and support of connected carers.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of connected carers to determine their suitability to care for children within their family network.
  • Provide ongoing support, supervision, and guidance to approved connected carers, ensuring they have the resources needed to provide high-quality care.
  • Develop care plans that address the needs of children and ensure that their welfare is promoted in the placement.
  • Work collaboratively with children, carers, and professionals from various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with legal requirements and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Previous experience in fostering, kinship care, or children's services.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding policies, and fostering regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships with carers, children, and professionals.

Salary: £33,024 - £41,418 per annum, plus a 15% market supplement of £4,953 to £6,212, totaling £38,439 - £47,632 per annum.
