About the Role
Caritas Recruitment is seeking experienced Social Workers to join our team in Middlesbrough. As a Child Protection Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families to achieve positive outcomes. We are currently recruiting for a range of Social Worker positions across different teams in Middlesbrough.

Job Description
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments for children and families, identifying needs and risks to inform care planning. You will also work closely with children, families, and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes. In addition, you will assist young people transitioning from care to independent living, provide guidance to help them thrive, and work with foster carers to ensure high standards of care and fostering retention within the system.

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking experienced Social Workers to join our Assessment Teams, SCP Teams, Pathways Team 1, Fostering Retention, and Cared For Team. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting assessments for children and families
  • Identifying needs and risks to inform care planning
  • Assisting young people transitioning from care to independent living
  • Working with foster carers to ensure high standards of care and fostering retention

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of child protection and care principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also have experience working with vulnerable children and families, as well as a good understanding of local authorities' policies and procedures.

What We Offer
In return for your expertise and commitment, we offer a competitive salary of £34,900 - £44,600 per annum, plus a 15% market supplement (paid monthly). Our full-time roles involve working 37 hours per week, and we are committed to providing ongoing professional development opportunities to help you grow in your career.
